Description of Self-aligning ball bearings:
Self-aligning ball bearing has two rows of spherical balls, the outer race provides a common concave spherical raceway, while the inner race provides two concave spherical raceways that form an angle with the bearing axis. The curvature center of the outer raceway is consistent with the bearing center. The self-aligning ball bearing is self-adjusted, and it is not affected by non-centering or shaft deformation flexure of shaft and bearing block, so it can compensate the concentricity error caused by these reasons.
Types of Self-aligning ball bearings:
12, 13, 22 and 23 series of self-aligning ball bearing inner hole can be cylindrical or conical. Bearing taper hole is 1: 12 ( code name suffix K ) of self-aligning ball bearing can be mounted directly to the conical shaft, also through an adapter sleeve mounted to a cylindrical shaft, except to provide seamless self-aligning ball bearing, but also provide two end with a sealing cover of the basic types of self-aligning ball bearings ( code name suffix 2RS ).

Applications of Self Aligning Ball Bearings
Self-aligning ball bearings are used for commercial ground shafting applications.
Since axial load capacity is limited, self-aligning ball bearings are not suitable for applications with heavy axial loads.
Furthermore, if an adapter is used on the tapered bore of the inner diameter, installation and disassembly are much simpler and for this reason adapters are often used on the equipment with drive shafts.
